We are all about friendshipfellowship, and companionship. Centered near Orlando, we have members from a wide swath across Florida and usually hold our rallies at interesting places within 150 miles of there. A typical rally always starts with a lot of hugs, offers to help each other with problems on our rigs, swapping of stories (some of them true), and making sure we all know where and when Happy Hour convenes. We try not to ask our host couples to work too hard and all pitch in to help serve meals and set up (NON STRENUOUS) games and activities. We keep in touch between rallies and support each other in the ways of people who genuinely care about each other. We invite others to join us either for a visit or to consider becoming members. 2024-02 The Challengers Newsletter

2023-10 The Challenger’s Newsletter

DESCRIPTION:

The Challengers are known as the “Volunteer” Chapter.  We volunteer at both FMCA Rallies. The SEA held in Lakeland, FL and the FMCA Perry Rall, Perry, GA.  We serve Coffee and Donuts as well as help out other volunteer opportunities; like parking, security, and educational seminars.  Both of these Rallies are fun, provide informative seminars, entertainment, and the opportunity to meet other fellow FMCA members.  Look for us at the Chapter Fair.

The Challengers hold official monthly rallies from September to May where usually two couples host our rallies by planning meals, activities and excursions.  During the summer months of June, July and August our members get together for informal rallies.  Each rally attracts between 15-25 members.  Many of us are long-time FMCA members.  We constantly welcome new members to come join the fun.  Most of our rallies are held at campgrounds located around a 100 mile radius of Central Florida with members from Jacksonville to Sarasota and on both the East and West Coasts.  Each official rally begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday morning.  Some of our members choose to arrive earlier to extend their fun. We gather in the afternoons of the rally for “Happy Hour” enjoying lots of laughs and friendships, snacks, drinks and jokes!  In the evenings we gather to play various games.  We would love for you to come join the Fun.

We are a young, growing chapter with a mutual interest in fellowship and fun. Our mission is to support organizations that promote Foster Parenting and Adoption such as the Dave Thomas Foundation. We attend and volunteer at the (SEA) Southeast Area Rally and FMCA National Rallies. Our membership area is the entirety of FMCA. By joining a large chapter such as ours, you will obtain the benefits that the fellowship and friendship of our group can offer. Club members are only too happy to share their experiences and ideas regarding repairs, RV products, and general maintenance, care, camping and travel plans.

The Mid Week Flamingos are an FMCA Chapter with members mostly from the central west coast area of Florida and the campouts are usually within approximately 100 miles of St. Petersburg. As the name implies, we meet mid week allowing us to avoid the weekend crowds. The ladies prefer not to cook so we enjoy trying new restaurants and returning to old favorites. The members enjoy playing cards, bean bag baseball, and doing some local sightseeing.

The Sandpipers Chapter of FMCA was formed several years ago in June of 1994. There were 32 original founding members, one of which was past President of FMCA National Dottie Peirce who was instrumental in putting this chapter together. On the first full weekend of each month we have a chapter rally at different locations and RV parks in central Florida. The rallies are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We have always been a very social oriented group that mostly just enjoys each others company. Many members arrive a day or two early simply for visiting and sharing experiences. We are made up of diverse personal backgrounds and coaches that are held together by a common thread of fun, fellowship and the RV life style. Russell Cole F# 43, now deceased, was among the founders of FMCA and was a charter member of the Sandpipers. Russ was present at the founding of FMCA in Hinckley Maine way back in the early 60’s. He had many interesting stories of past times and we are proud to have known him. The membership has reached 60 plus coaches. Not too large to make it difficult to find campgrounds that can accommodate us but large enough to have a nice group for social hours and meals. We invite others with the same interests to join the Sandpipers for fun and fellowship.

The Shalom Roamers Chapter is a place for our members to gather together to celebrate our Jewish RVing community. While personal philosophies and practices vary widely among us, we are united in a common commitment to maintaining Judaism in our lives while traveling in our RV’s. We hold an annual winter rally during the third week in December at Sun-N-Fun Resort in Sarasota with many fun activities including the Jewish tradition of a Movie and Chinese dinner on Christmas Day. Other gatherings are planned throughout the year. Join us today and make new friends for life. Contact us at Shalom Roamers@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION

Would you like to spend a few days a month with others who enjoy camping the RV way? The Sun Roamers of Florida chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association was founded in 1984. We hold rallies the first full weekend each month from October through May at various RV Parks in central Florida. We’re pretty laid back and casual. We socialize, have great food, play games, and sometimes enjoy local attractions but the focus is on relaxing so there’s always free time to explore or do your own thing. Two member couples typically host each rally. They provide a full breakfast on Saturday, the main course for Saturday dinner (with attendees contributing side dishes and desserts) and a continental breakfast on Sunday as everyone prepares to leave. Hosted meals are in the park club house. Those who arrive on Thursday gather for Attitude Adjustment time (aka Happy Hour) near a member coach. Everyone brings chairs, their own refreshments and snacks to share. Happy Hour on Fridays involves a light potluck supper instead of just snack food. Happy Hour on Saturday is back to snacks before dinner. Lunches are on your own. You get to enjoy all this great food for a rally fee of just $30 per couple ($15 for a single). If this sounds appealing, call or e-mail us to learn more. We look forward to hearing from you.
